We are seeking a hands-on Vice President of Product to lead and scale the product organization during a critical growth phase. This role is central to shaping product strategy, building a scalable operating model, and embedding AI-first, customer-centric thinking across the company. The organization is a high-growth B2B SaaS company at Series B stage with $100M+ ARR, transitioning from founder-led product leadership to a mature, expert-led structure. The VP of Product will take ownership of the product function, drive execution, and ensure innovation and developer experience remain core as the company scales.

Mission & Context
This is not a large-enterprise oversight role. The company is looking for a builder and operator — someone who enjoys staying close to customers, product details, and execution, especially during the early transition phase. The role is newly critical as the company scales beyond founder-led product management into a structured, AI-driven product organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Leadership & Strategy
- Own end-to-end product vision and execution for a portfolio of developer tools and technical products
- Position the company as AI-first, ensuring AI capabilities are thoughtfully embedded into roadmap and strategy
- Partner with executive leadership to scale product expertise across the organization
- Team Leadership & Structure
- Lead and develop 4 Product Managers (growing to 5) and 2–3 Designers
- Manage 6–10 direct reports
- Establish clear operating rhythms, supervision processes, and decision frameworks
- Build a strong communication structure within the product team and across functions
- Hands-On Product Ownership
- Engage directly with customers to validate needs and guide prioritization
- Learn the product deeply before delegating
- Partner closely with engineering to ensure technical feasibility and scalability
- Maintain balance between strategic leadership and operational execution
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Sales, and Marketing
- Ensure strong alignment between product, customer needs, and market positioning
- Improve speed and quality of product decision-making at scale
Required Qualifications
- Strong technical background in software engineering
- Proven experience building and scaling developer tools or developer-focused products
- Experience in high-growth B2B SaaS environments (ideally at or beyond $100M ARR)
- Prior leadership experience managing 6–10 direct reports
- Demonstrated hands-on operator mindset
- Comfortable working across time zones with occasional early-morning meetings
- Willingness to travel 8–10 weeks per year
- Without a strong technical foundation, developer-product experience, and leadership at scale, candidates should not proceed.
